Updates to the IR35 - HMRC moves the date for businesses to prepare.

IR35 changes are stll happening but HMRC have updated the dates, make sure you know what is happening now

In my last blog, I covered IR35 changes that were taking place for both Companies and Contractors. Since then on the 7th February 2020, HMRC have updated the changes amd moved the date for the rules, they now apply only to payments made for services provided on or after April 6 of this year.

Companies:

Off-payroll working rules change on 6 April 2020 and are applied differently. From this date, all public authorities and medium and large sized private clients will be responsible for deciding the employment status of workers. Make sure you know about IR35 and how it may affect you:

Freelancers/Contractors:

If you work for just one client you may be subject to IR35 regulations (UK only) - this article explains more what you are responsible for as a contractor/freelancer....
